We will have vines!!!

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

The Furzedown Festival on Saturday 20 th June will hopefully prove to be as fun packed as last year when the Urban Wine Stall was besieged by Londoners who were eager to get involved with the wine growing experience. Its amazing that less than a year has passed and we have gained new members, many of whom were at the stall last year. Its also great that over the last year we have distributed vines across London and have held a highly successful event at the Tooting Tram Shed. It was a great evening and members left slightly worse for wear after sampling English wines from Bookers and Chapel Down vineyards.

So at the Furzedown festival which is off Furzedown Drive SW16 there will be a great opportunity if potential members want to come along and join up. This year they will actually be able to carry off a potted vine and get started on the same day. We look foward to seeing you there and hearing  the latest gossip and information that is being passed around the rapidly expanding urban wine network.

Finally. we are looking for people who may wish  to help us spread  the Urban Wine message even further across London during the summer. If you are interested in running an information stall for us  please send your details to urbanwineco.com or call Richard on 07944983286

We have been up to our arms in compost as the Rondo and Solaris vines are getting dispatched across London. Also lots of people are coming forward and looking foward to the summer harvest in October this year.

If any readers want to come to East Sussex to visit the vineyard and pressing plant on the 18th July this year just send an email to info@urbanwineco.com
